Rumble On The Rock

On 7th May 2011 I competed in my first cage fight that will be featured on the 'Sky' channel 433 known as 'Premiere Sports'.
A DVD of the event will be available soon if you can't watch it on Sky.
It was amazing to go in to the cage knowing I was the first person to fight in a full size professional cage in Jersey.. ever!
I will be competing in the next 'Rumble On The Rock' event in October.

Cage Fighting and Mixed Martial Arts!

As some of you know, I started training in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) on Monday 11th October 2010.
This has been one of a few highlights this year. Getting back into martial arts is one thing but training with these guys is epic!!
Learned how to pull off some nice little tricks - arm bars, shin bars, the triangle, and loads of other submission techniques.
I don't have any photo's or videos just yet but I will post them as and when I get any!!!

The Beach Cat

As we walked along the pebbled beach, a small cat decided to tag along for our trek.  It followed closely and plodded on through sand and seaweed, across rocks and pebbles.  We watched in hope that it knew where it was headed.  We had a fair walk ahead of us and this cat wasn't going to give up so easily.

So as we moved along the trail, things got more treacherous and the rocks got slippy and wet.  The slow paced stroll across the beach suddenly became an adventure across uneven and dangerous terrain.  If the trail was dry things would have been much different but the seaweed almost got the better of us a few times.

Our journey with the beach cat ended just after the bridge as the cat made it's own way up the cliff-side. Our journey ended at a pub where we had dinner and drinks to celebrate our safe arrival. =]

The previous days we had visited various café's along St Aubin's bay.

And then of course there was the fantastic sand sculpture.

The Hill Climb

On Monday I went to the Hill Climb event in the hope I could sign in and get a pass to go anywhere around the track but apparently I needed insurance. This is the best I got from where I could stand.

Plemont Bay

Me and my boss went down to Plemont after work to do some photography. It had been raining most of the day but when we got there the sky cleared and we managed to take some nice shots! I haven't seen any of Gary's photo's yet because he's away until Tuesday. I took all my shots hand held because I still haven't got my tripod. Some of the shots came out okay though!

This also looks like a great climbing spot and I'm probably going to head down there again with my climbing gear  when I find someone to come with me.

I'm also working on a project now, I have some creative writing to do! I have an idea that could ending up going in a few different directions. The initial plan is to write the photo-comic and play. See how it goes! I'll update this with sneak peeks as it progresses! =]
